The first time we learned about the pillars of Iman, we were children in grade school. The voices of a dozen other kids rose in unison with ours as we recited, “Iman is to believe in Allah, and His Angels, and His Books, and His Messengers, and in the Last Day, and in Qadar, both good and bad…”
It’s more than ten years later now. And here is a class called Rays of Faith that teaches those same pillars we can still recite from memory. So what’s the big deal about a list of pillars we learned as children??
The big deal is this….....

The beauty of Surah al-Baqarah can never be entirely put into words. And only the person who reads, studies and reflects upon it can even begin to understand the expanse of its meanings.
This noble Surah takes us back to our origins with the story of our father, Adam, and the purpose of creation. It warns us of our eternal enemy, whom we seek refuge in Allah from, and it describes for us the three categories of people (believers, disbelievers, and hypocrites), of which there is no fourth.

“Together we went to Hajj, bought the Escalade, walked through the dark while tightly holding our patience and thankfulness balloons, finally got that toy box we’ve always wanted and even built our assets then our liabilities.”

AlHamdulillah we have had another successful class! Route 114 has been our fourth class and I think it is safe to say that Ittihaad has grown up fast. Being the first international qabeelah we have had unique challenges from the start. By the grace of Allah and a continuously committed volunteer and student group we have been able to overcome our obstacles and create a very unique qabeelah.

Alhamdulilah, The Code of Scholars: Usool Al-Fiqh could not have been as successful as it was without all the volunteers that helped along with all of you who attended. Alhamdulillah, Qabeelat Ittihaad is greatly appreciated by Muhammad Alshareef for our excellent hospitality, and insha’ Allah we should keep that
up.

Ya Qabeelat Ittihaad! Asalaam alaykum. I am honored and proud to serve as the Ameer. After the success of the Conquest, History of Khulafaa’ class in Windsor, Islam Invulnerable: The Making of the Modern Muslim World increased the bonds of brother/sisterhood across the border.
If you want to kill a tree, you don’t cut its branches but you go for the roots. Unfortunately, that is the case with our Muslim ummah today. We don’t know our roots. It is important for us to know where we came from and where we are going. You have to know the past to understand the present. The man who has no sense of history is like a man who has no ears or eyes.

Our first class, Conquest: History of the Khulafaa’, by the grace of Allah (swt) was a huge success. The stories of the greatest people ever to live after the prophets brought tears to our eyes and put love into our hearts. May Allah (swt) make us of those who will be joined with them and our beloved prophet (saw) in Jannah. Our first class was filled with many memorable moments, from the in class “YEEAAHHs”, the brothers BBQs with our teacher, Muhammad Alshareef, to the sisters’ dinners, created a bond of brotherhood and sisterhood that insha Allah will last a lifetime.
